Meet the valuable team members who contribute to our flawless ERP deployments and exceptional customer service - next up:

STEVE RATNER

Steve is one of our certified Acumatica Senior Application ERP Consultants since joining our Klear Systems team in September of 2023. What is a Senior Application ERP Consultant you ask? Well, Steve's your guy to ask. Scroll down to dive into his expansive role (along with what his all-time favorite Larry David moment is)!! 👇🏼

Q: Where were you prior to Klear Systems and what/who made you join our team?
A: Before joining Klear Systems, I worked at another VAR/ISV specializing in Acumatica, for over 8 years. I was seeking a new challenge and opportunity when I learned about Klear Systems. The company was described to me as a dynamic and agile team needing more consultants due to increasing deal flow and go-live timelines. After discussing the company's culture and my potential contributions with Klear Systems, the CEO, Frank Ahn, and I felt that Klear Systems would be a perfect fit for me.

Since joining the team, my role has shifted slightly. While I was heavily involved in discovery and pre-sales demos at my previous employment, I now focus primarily on implementations, working with 3rd party ISV products, and managing API integrations. This shift has allowed me to deepen my expertise and contribute more directly to successful project outcomes.

Q: What did Klear Systems do for your orientation day?! Getting treated to lunch at "Edna's" (iykyk) is a fond memory of mine!
A: My orientation day was a bit different since I'm based in NYC and work remotely. Despite the distance, I felt the warmth and welcome from the Klear team on the west coast. One memorable highlight was receiving a care package filled with Klear Systems swag including a Klear Systems branded MiiR water bottle (a current Acumatica client), which made me feel instantly connected to the team. Although I haven't had a typical in-person orientation, the thoughtful gesture and the ongoing support from my colleagues have made my transition seamless and enjoyable.

Q: What does your position/title entail, and what do you most enjoy about it? How has the remote/hybrid work structure challenged or enhanced your position so far?
A: As a Senior ERP Consultant, my role includes consulting, timeline scheduling, helping with solution architecture, and collaborating with client stakeholders on the Acumatica platform. The most enjoyable part of my job is navigating the love-hate relationship that often comes with the ERP process and ultimately seeing the satisfaction of clients running their business on a new, state-of-the-art platform.

Working fully remote has enhanced my ability to be proactive. It allows me to structure my day to keep current projects on target while dedicating time to new learning and certifications. Success in remote work hinges on strong time management skills and effective prioritization using project management tools.

Q: Could you share some highlights from your professional journey (could be something with us at Klear or a prior company, we just want to hear how cool you are!)?
A: Totally! Throughout my career in the ERP space, I've had the privilege of learning from some truly inspiring leaders who emphasized the importance of good leadership and mentorship. These experiences have been instrumental in helping me build strong teams capable of tackling challenges, whether its managing change orders related to solution architecture and custom development or integrating third-party solutions via API development on the Acumatica platform. The skills and support I've gained from others have made these challenges much more manageable.

One standout moment from my previous experience was leading a project where we seamlessly integrated various third-party solutions into Acumatica through API and custom development. This required exceptional coordination and expertise, and the result exceeded client expectations. Our success was further highlighted when the client won the Acumatica Customer of the Year award, showcasing our team's capabilities and dedication.

And finally, to add to my most recent ERP achievements, I've recently become a Velixo Certified Consultant to really make sure I can provide top-of-the-line service for all the innovative tech out there for your business growth.

Q: QUICK, BEFORE WE GO:
- Where in the world has the most beautiful architecture to you?
- What is your absolute favorite moment on
Curb Your Enthusiasm?! (Larry David is the BEST)
A: This is a tough one, but I would have to say Paris. The city is incredibly charming with its stunning architecture and quaint streets. It's one of the most picturesque places I've ever visited, and its blend of historic and modern design elements makes it truly unique.

I'm a huge Larry fan, and I would say the sign-off to the end of Curb... season 12 was by far the best moment. The way they pulled all the seasons together into that final season was just perfect. It was the ideal way to bring the show to a close and left a lasting impression of how Larry is always in a hilariously awkward predicament.
