Acumatica Summit has come and gone and the Klear Systems team can't believe we have to wait a whole other year before the cloud-based ERP's 2021 event😭 (Acumatica Summit 2021 is slated for July 18th - 23rd at the Wynn, Las Vegas)
That's why we're highlighting some of the more notable moments in our Acumatica Summit 2020 recap!
You may already be aware that Summit is largely marketed as a 2-day event, however, we feel it's important to acknowledge the Sunday before the actual event, as it's just as important. That's because it's packed with an equal amount of content, networking, and opportunity as the Monday and Tuesday to follow. Allow us to break it down:
Pre-Summit Receptions & Summit After Dark
Sunday kicked off with a jam-packed 2-hour Acumatica User Meet & Greet. This was the perfect opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow Acumatica users, partners, and 3rd party solution vendors in a smaller, more intimate setting and gear up for all that Acumatica Summit really, truly is.
From there it was off to the official Acumatica Welcome Reception held in the Solution Showcase Ballroom. Here is where attendees had their first exposure to the 100+ exhibitors and sponsors, all while enjoying delicious light bites and an open bar. One of our preferred sponsors (more on that later), Century Business Solutions, was even offering free massages!! Of course, our Business Development Manager, Kayla, had to test them out😉
Later that evening was the notable post welcome reception party, Summit After Dark! Held at The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails within The Cosmopolitan this speakeasy vibe provided the perfect atmosphere for the summit hype party🎉 But that's really all we can tell you because, well, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right?
Day 1 | Celebratory Review of 2019
With close to 2,500 attendees, this year's attendance nearly doubled compared to the 1,500 seen last year, not to mention the thousands Acumatica CEO, Jon Roskill, shouted out to who were watching on the internet.
Key points from the morning opening keynote included Acumatica's 2019 accomplishments and shared focus for 2020, with customer/partner success and innovation tied as the top priorities. Roskill was proud to announce that the cloud-based ERP surpassed the 6,500 customer mark and made mention of the 10 industry awards, including PCMag Editor's Choice Award for Best ERP Software, setting the standard for usability in the market according to Nucleus Research's ERP Technology Value Matrix, and the numerous positive customer reviews on G2.
It wouldn't be a year in review without celebrating Acumatica's Customer of the Year, Power Storage Solutions, and Impact Customer of the Year, FoodMaven. Each company acknowledged the cloud ERP's adaptable platform, functionality, and customer emphasis as major reasons for their selecting Acumatica cloud ERP, which, of course, has been the business management solutions focus from the beginning; the perfect segue into Acumatica's 2020 strategy and the release of 2020 R1.
With customer-centric enhancements across the board for Acumatica's industry editions the most notable announcement was the improvement of Acumatica Manufacturing Edition by acquiring 3rd party solution, JAAS Systems. Acumatica will now also be delivering Acumatica Payroll in the latest release, integrated on top of the Acumatica platform, enhancing their existing integration with Smartsheet, partnering with eWorkplace Apps to meet the needs of manufacturers and distributors with their first two integrated solutions, Quality Management and Process Manufacturing Partnering, and natively building a BigCommerce connection into the Acumatica Commerce Edition.
The bottom line? Unending possibilities for customer and partner success. After a great first day of keynotes and breakout sessions the annual Celebration Party, Chief Product Officer Ali Jani led the cloud ERP charge on Day Two.
Day 2 | Acumatica 2020 R1 and the Future of Technology
As Acumatica enters their second decade in the cloud ERP space, they've confidently identified themselves as an established disruptor in the space and had the product demos to back it up. With Acumatica Chief Product Officer, Ali Jani leading the charge, the theme for Day Two was digital transformation through innovation and how technology makes it all possible.

Closing Speaker | Dr. Robert Ballard
We couldn't end our Acumatica Summit Recap without mentioning the inspiring closing keynote delivered by Dr. Robert Ballard, the deep-sea explorer who found the remains of the sunken Titanic, the German Battleship Bismarck, the lost fleet of Guadalcanal, and so much more!
Dr. Ballard spoke on the importance of leadership, collaboration, and innovation and how the combination of all 3 led him to the greatest discovery of his life.
