With a record-breaking number of attendees, futuristic demos, and a number of customer highlights there's so much to review!!
|| 2018 in Review ||
While Summit is all about looking to the future we can't do that without praising a little of the past, and that's exactly how Acumatica kicked off Summit 2019 // Day 1.
With 10 years under it's belt, Acumatica has been hard at work diligently enhancing and improving their Cloud ERP solution and in 2018, their efforts were finally paying off.
At the start of the event Acumatica's CEO, Jon Roskill, proudly announced in the past year this Cloud ERP software garnered 6 awards, including the SIIA CODiE Award for Best Cloud ERP Solution and Best Manufacturing Solution in 2018, as well as PC Mag Editor's Choice for the Best Inventory Management Software of 2018.
They also grabbed the highest customer satisfaction of all vendors surveyed in Gartner's latest Magic Quadrant, topped G2 Crowd's report comparing Acumatica with three competitors in user satisfaction, and ranked highest in usability out of 22 vendors in Nucleus Research's ERP Technology Value Matrix.
And we can't forget the exciting breaking news: Acumatica, for the third year running, received the PC Mag's Editor's Choice for Best ERP Solution!
He shared with the audience of customer, partner, media, and analyst participants that Acumatica has now reached over 5,000 customers, 1,200 of whom joined in 2018! With 160 million+ ERP transactions per month (over 1 billion transactions in 2018), 103 million logons per year in 2018 (all with a 99.999% up-time), and 97% support satisfaction, Acumatica's focus on customer success has resulted in Acumatica's continued reign as the fastest growing cloud ERP vendor!
Part of that customer focus is the importance of digital transformation. Jon highlighted how technology, such as Acumatica's true cloud ERP, has made an impact on companies' business management processes that has helped move forward.

Jon also announced that Acumatica achieved 88% of new revenue growth for 2018!
|| Customer Highlights ||
In addition to announcements and product demonstrations, customer success played an important role at Acumatica Summit 2019.
A video featuring Acumatica customer MiiR, a "Product to Project" company that is rooted in stainless steel drink-ware with unique gift codes on each item that tracks MiiR"s grant-making and giving process (they give away 3% of their revenue every year), highlighted how Acumatica has helped them be a more connected and digital business. They have found Acumatica to be a simple, scalable, and robust solution as well as one that provides "clean and powerful APIs" and good data leading to good decisions to grow their business.
The CEO of Nothing Bundt Cakes, Bill Schaffler, joined Christine Chen, President and CEO of Christine Chen Communications and emcee for the event, and shared with her how Acumatica has connected their 300 bakeries (and growing) across the country, allowing their team to communicate in real time. Acumatica's cloud ERP solution has also helped them track and forecast their inventory easily and accurately.
Of course, it isn't a Summit without a little SWAG!
Both MiiR and Nothing Bundt Cakes gifted every Summit attendee with cake for breakfast and an Acumatica branded stainless steel tumbler!
The CEO of Lexware was also in attendance and explained why Acumatica's platform was the right choice for them, and World of Hope International, a company that helps connect farmers to market, was recognized as the 2018 Acumatica Non-Profit of the Year.
|| Partnerships, Integrations, & The Connected Business ||
The importance of "Connected business", or embracing digital transformation and upleveling people and processes in order to build a greater community of peers, was the primary focus of Summit this year so it was no surprise when Jon revealed a new long-term agreement between Acumatica and Cegid, which is a leading business management software provider in France.
Among partnership announcements was also the hot topic of emerging technologies such as Machine Learning, AI, BI, Reporting, and Data Analysis. The VP of Platform & Technology, Ajoy Krishnamoorthy, was thrilled to share that the Acumatica Cloud ERP Connector for Microsoft Flow is now available and how Acumatica is already using and continuing to invest in Machine Learning and AI.
He even demonstrated how the Google Cloud Vision Product Search can enable manufacturers and field service users to quickly and effective search for parts or components. There were even a few new tech toys in attendance: a camera drone equipped to scan QR codes on shelved inventory and the Microsoft HoloLens that shows a range of hands-free, voice activated capabilities.
|| Acumatica 2019 R1 Highlights ||
With the successes of 2018 urging Acumatica on, the Cloud Business Management solution provider is preparing to lead the way in 2019 with innovative technology and top-notch customer service. This was clearly demonstrated in the latest product release, Acumatica 2019 R1. Driven and shaped by input from their user community, the backbone of any new Acumatica product offering truly is business functionality, high usability, and ease of implementation.
Attendees at Acumatica Summit 2019 were given a first look at the new product offering with demos offered by Acumatica's Partner Enablement Manager, Jessica Gadbois.
Because Acumatica is focused on continuous innovation, enhancements were made to several different features, only a few of which we'll highlight:
Side panel
This feature which was only introduced last year has seen great change including instant loading, the ability to now be minimized and maximized, and an expand and collapse button that has been added.
Personalized Instance Colors
Jessica also showcased the ability to personalize your website or your instance based on colors, which provides the ability to distinguish color themes between different companies or branches of companies, as well as touched on the addition of conditional highlighting in Generic Inquiries as a visual aid, as well as changes to pivot tables.
Processing Bar
System admins who run long processes are now able to view a processing bar showing how many processes are remaining with visibility into customer records. This allows the user to complete other activities in the system then return to the screen with the process still running, increasing efficiency.
Multi-factor Authentication
Finally, Jessica announced an important new feature: multi-factor authentication. Whether through a text or SMS message or through a push notification, users are assured that they and their information are safe.

And what's a Summit without an inspiring keynote speaker? Professor, engineer, author, and NASA astronaut, Mike Massimino, wrapped up Summit with an energizing session on teamwork, leadership, innovation, and passion and how each of these helped him address challenges while on his space missions. Mike also emphasized how the innovative problem-solving he employed in space can be used to solve the challenges faced by earth-bound cloud ERP businesses, challenges such as staying relevant in the digital age and undergoing digital transformation.
Mike's experiences and firm belief in getting back up when life knocks you down combined with a day focused on the exhilarating future of Acumatica cloud ERP made for a great start to the year!
